Question
Instant PDF hangs on step 1 or 2 or another step and I can no longer use it, how can I fix this?

Background
This can be triggered by any indexing software or if there is still an active job that is stuck.

Please follow the below steps to get your Instant PDF working properly again:Quit Instant PDF
Windows
Please follow the below steps to get your Instant PDF working properly again:Quit Instant PDF
  • Open up Task Manager
  • Show processes from all users and stop any process with Instant PDF in its name
  • Go to the following folder: HD/Document and Settings/All users/Application Data/Enfocus Prefs Folder/Instant PDF Jobs/Active (or HD/ProgramData/Enfocus Prefs Folder/Instant PDF Jobs/Active)
  • Delete all files and folders if there are any
  • Exclude folders in anti-virus software as described in following solution: What about anti-virus software and Enfocus?
  • Restart the complete system
Now you should be able to work with Instant PDF again, if you are still seeing the same problem as before then please contact Enfocus Support and mention this solution.
