Solution Details

The Certified PDF status icon in the Adobe Acrobat toolbar indicates the Certified PDF status of the current PDF document. A green tick indicates the preflight was without errors; a red cross indicates the preflight generated errors; a gray icon indicates that there is no Certified PDF information in the file.

If you don’t see the Certified PDF status icon, then you can make it visible using these steps:

  • Open the Tools section on the right of Acrobat
  • Expand the Certified PDF category
  • Right click the Certified PDF icon and choose “Add to Quick Tools Toolbar”

Note: If you are using the Certified PDF Preflight Profile Comparison functionality, then the Certified PDF status icon indicates a combination of the Preflight Status and the Preflight Profile Comparison status:

  • If the Preflight was ok and the Comparison was ok, then there will be a green tick.
  • If the Preflight was not ok and the Comparison was ok, then there will be a red cross.
  • If the Preflight was ok and the Comparison was not ok, then there will be a red cross.
  • If the Preflight was not ok and the Comparison was not ok, then there will be a red cross.
