I have bought a new system and I would like to move my PitStop Professional to that new system.

As a PitStop Professional license allows you to use the product on one computer, please avoid installing and registering the product on a second computer, as registration problems will occur and you won't be able to use the software until one of the copies is removed.


Please note these instructions apply to PitStop Professional 08 or earlier. If you need to move a PitStop Pro 09 or higher, please follow the instructions in this solution.

  1. Install a trial version of PitStop Pro on the new computer.

    Download the installer for PitStop Pro from the Enfocus website by downloading the trial version.
    If you have an older version than the one shown on the website then please go to this solution page to get that installer: Older Enfocus Installers.

  2. Move your preferences and personal Preflight Profiles, Action Lists & Global Changes to the new computer.

    This can be done easily by copying the following folders to the new system:

    • Windows
      - C:/ Documents & Settings/All users/Application data/Enfocus prefs folder/ (if available) 
      - C:/ Documents & Settings/<Your user>/Application data/Enfocus prefs folder

    • Mac
      - HD: Library: Preferences: Enfocus Prefs Folder (if available)
      - HD: Users: <Your user>: Library: Preferences: Enfocus Prefs Folder

  3. Remove PitStop Pro from the old computer.

    Use instruction from following solution: How to uninstall PitStop Pro?

  4. Enter your product key on the new computer.

Convert the trial version into the permanent version by entering your product key on the new computer.
