Symptoms
I can't activate my Enfocus product because I don't know the account name/password/secret question that my former colleague used.

Background
Activation is new since our 09 versions, so you have to make an Enfocus ID to activate your software. However, please note, that this Enfocus ID is not linked to the product key you've used.
Any product key can be activated with any ID, if the key isn't active on another system.

Solution
If you are a new employee in your company, we recommend creating a new Enfocus ID.

This has a couple of advantages:

  • Your username is your email address which makes it easy to remember and you can reset your password at any time.
  • This account is directly linked to your email address, name, company name,... so we can easily find your account in case of future issues.
