Symptoms Acrobat crashes in Switch and the Acrobat icon has a red gear in the flow. The error in messages is "Unable to process the file."
Solution
Go to Acrobat preferences and in the General category the preference "Open documents as new tabs in the same window (requires relaunch) must be checked on. It is on by default and is only off if a user has manually changed it to off.
